Ingredients
- 2 cups sticky rice
- 1 can of pork pate
- 4 chinese sausages
- 4 tsp soy sauce
- 1 cup fried shallots
- 1 stalk of green onions (sliced)
- 1 tbsp oil
- 3/4 cup pork floss
Procedure
For the sticky rice:
Wash and clean your sticky rice. You want to soak it overnight in warm water.
On the day of cooking, use a sticky rice steamer and steam the sticky rice for 20 minutes.
Set aside and prepare toppings.
For the scallion oil:
Add sliced green onions into a heat-proof bowl.
Add the oil into the bowl and microwave for 30 seconds.
Set aside until ready to assemble the dish.
For the Chinese sausage:
Air fry your Chinese sausage at 360 F for 5 minutes.
Remove from the air fryer and slice them thinly.
Set aside until ready to assemble the dish.
To assemble the dish:
For each serving, plate your sticky rice - flatten evenly.
Spread a thin layer of pork pate on top of the sticky rice.
Add 1 tsp of soy sauce on top.
Sprinkle the pork floss on top.
Layer on your Chinese sausage slices.
Sprinkle on the fried shallots.
Finally, top with your fried scallion (and scallion oil).
Serve hot as a great appetizer, snack, or breakfast.
