Serves 4 or 5
Ingredients:
▪️ 2 (ButcherBox)[https://bchrbox.co/AngCooks] 10 oz steaks ▪️ 1 lime (juiced) ▪️ 1/2 tbsp sugar ▪️ 3 tbsp fish sauce ▪️ 2 tbsp toasted rice powder ▪️ 6 thai peppers (minced) ▪️ 2 shallots (sliced) ▪️ 6-7 sprigs of mint (removed from stems) ▪️ 1/2 bundle of cilantro (sliced) ▪️ salt and pepper ▪️ 2 tbsp cooking oil
Instructions:
To cook the steak:
Pre-heat your oven to 450F.
Lightly salt and pepper both sides of your (ButcherBox)[https://bchrbox.co/AngCooks] steaks.
In a cast iron skillet, heat 2 tbsp of oil until smoking. Add your steaks and sear on each side for 2 minutes.
Finish in an oven at 450F for 3-5 minutes or until your preferred doneness.
Allow the steaks to rest for 7 minutes. Then slice into thin strips.
To make the Beef Salad:
In a medium bowl, combine sugar, fish sauce, lime and peppers. Add your cooked steak slices and toasted rice powder. Add peppers, cilantro, mint, and shallots. Mix until well combined.
Serve with sticky rice and bed of lettuce.
