Stir-Fry Bamboo Shoots and Tomato - Mang Xao Ca Chua

Ingredients

  • 2 fresh bamboo shoots (sliced thinly)
  • 1/2 white onion (thick slices)
  • 2 tomatoes (cut into fourths)
  • 2 green onion stalks (cut into 1" pieces)
  • 1/3 tbsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp sugar
  • 1/6 tbsp MSG

Procedure

  1. Heat oil in a wok. Add white onion and cook until slightly charred - 1 minute.

  2. Add tomatoes and cook until tomato releases juices, 2-3 minutes.

  3. Add bamboo shoots and cook for 2-3 minutes.

  4. Add seasonings (salt, sugar, MSG).

  5. Add green onions and turn off the heat.

  6. Serve hot with rice.
