Don’t knock it until you try it - Balut is fertilized developing egg that is boiled and served with a side of Vietnamese coriander and salt and pepper. It originated from the Philippines but is served in Vietnam as well.
Ingredients:
- Balut eggs (chicken or duck)
- Vietnamese coriander (washed)
- salt and pepper
Instructions:
Bring a medium sized pot filled with water to boil. Gently add your balut eggs.
Allow the eggs to cook for 20 minutes. Remove the eggs to cool.
Serve with side of Vietnamese coriander and salt and pepper.
