This is my go-to steak recipe and the dish was elevated using ButcherBox steaks - all the meats are humanely-raised and 100% grass fed. We were so impressed - you can definitely taste the quality in the cut. Left us ready to try more products from them.
Ingredients:
- 2 x ButcherBox Grass-Fed Beef Loin Steaks (1 lb 2 oz each)
- 1.5 tbsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp golden mountain sauce
- 4 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1/2 tbsp sugar
Instructions:
Marinate your steaks with garlic powder, golden mountain sauce, oyster sauce, and sugar for at least 1 hour. Fridge until ready to cook.
Take your steaks out 30 minutes prior to cooking to allow steaks to get to room temperature.
Pre-heat your oven to 450 F.
In a large cast iron, heat it with 2 tbsp oil until smoking.
Add your marinated ButcherBox steaks and sear each side for 2 minutes.
Add the cast iron with steaks into the oven and allow to cook for 8 minutes (for medium rare).
Remove the cast iron from the oven and allow the steaks to rest on a cutting board for 7 minutes before serving.
Served this with a side of rice and sautéed green beans and garlic.
